COPR Advanced Plate Reading

Here is a plate with a small font and with a frame that blends with the characters. The perspex frame cover has horizontal lines that could inhibit the effectiveness of ANPR software.
A simple segmentation of the plate can deskew and it can even remove the horizontal lines from the plate cover, but it cannot separate the characters from the frame.
So COPR uses its advanced features to remove the frame from the segmented image.
This allows COPR to fit rectangles around each of the characters. Notice that COPR is intelligent enough to separate the last character from the right hand side of the frame.
Character A with score 0.95
Character K with score 0.95
Character L with score 0.95
Character 4 with score 0.91
Character O with score 0.95
Character U with score 0.96
